Multiple Union County high schools were ranked on Niche’s 2020 Best Public High Schools list. Schools from Scotch Plains, Westfield and Summit can be found on this year’s rankings. These rankings are based on analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and rankings.
 
Scotch Plains schools frequent the lists more than any other Union County town and for good reason. The quaint town boasts not only top elementary, middle and high schools, but also vocational schools. Smaller classrooms and thought-provoking curriculums put these schools ahead of the rest.
